FAQs

How do I set up upStore?

Manual registration. As we are in beta testing right now, we do it manually. We will ask you for the primary information (name of the shop, name of the company, name of the person that will communicate with buyers and working hours)

Install the script and the app. Then you need to install an upStore script on your website, provide a sales associate with a smartphone and install an app on it. After it, you are ready to talk with your customers through video calls.

Online registration in the next phase. In the following product versions, it will be an entirely self-service process that should take up to 10 minutes.

How much time will the integration of upStore on my website take?

Five minutes to install. After registration, we will send you the script (a piece of code) that your developers need to install on your website. Usually, it takes no more than 5 minutes.

Widget for customers. The code will not influence how your website works, but just put a small "video call" widget on the right side of your website, through which customers can contact you.

What does a call with a customer look like?

The customer uses the widget. After clicking the upStore button on your website, the upStore app used by your sales representative will ring with an incoming call.

Connected instantly. When picked up, both cameras of your smartphone are activated to show your shop/goods to a customer and to see your face at the same time. You'll see your customer's face if he/she wishes to.

Show, Compare, Recommend – no limits. Walk your customer through your shop, give recommendations, show a product in action, answer questions - score some points! Make your virtual visitors willing to come and buy.

Can I have upStore without having a website or e-shop?

Sure, with a unique link. In this case, we will provide you with a unique link, that you can share on your social media or send via email.

Your own landing page. This link will guide people to the upStore landing page that will be prepared directly for your shop. From that page, customers can call your sales representative if they will be online.

As a store which hardware or devices do I need?

iPhone or iPad. Your sales representative will require only an iPhone or iPad. Right now, unfortunately, we have a version only for Apple devices. Still, the full product version will include Android application also.

How should I prepare my sales personnel?

They are already prepared. If you think that they can sell talking with customers personally, then it means they will manage to consult through upStore without problems. It's just as people talking through Whatsapp/Facetime video calls. No difference, but made specifically for commerce and e-commerce usage.

When will the first version be available?

upStore for beta testers will be available in August. Full version including iOS/Android applications, payment gates, express delivery and integration to the POS/e-shop systems is expected at the end of the year.

How to set up working hours or set that a sales associate is free to video call?

Working hours will be set during the registration process and can be changed on your request for 24 hours.

Are there any specific conditions to be among the first stores?

Contact us. It's possible that your area of commerce will be very interesting for us and we can even customize upStore for you.

Have someone available. You need to have a sales associate or someone who has time and knowledge to consult buyers remotely, show products or answer questions.

Is there any alternative on the market for the upStore?

The trend is rising. We see the trend that big retailers like IKEA, Nike and others are starting to experiment with video messaging and calls in their business. Currently, there are no specialized solutions available on the Czech market. Working alternatives could be Whatsapp and Skype, but they have many limitations and also not so user friendly for shopping.

Why staff utilization should increase while using upStore?

No limitations. Many buyers are just locked in the offices during working hours. The only chance for them now to visit your store is evening time, when there are massive traffic jams. Additionally, the evening is usually a time that we want to spend with family and friends or doing hobbies. It means many of them just wouldn't come to your store.

Visit anytime. With upStore, you can allow people who would like to visit your store make it very easy even during the day and help them to be sure that when they come to you personally, they will find already packed products for them.

Why e-shop conversions should increase?

See products live. The main issue with e-shopping is that buyers are not able to see the products live and also sometimes need a personal consultation. upStore allows helping those people, consulting and showing them products remotely to help them be sure that they buy the product.

Have fewer returns. In this case, upStore also decreases the number of product returns due to incorrect choice, that saves money on the e-shop side.
